How Can sore Throat And Back Pain Be Treated?

my 20 year old daughter seems to have come down with a virus of some kind but she complains of swollen glands, sore throat, then back pain...or achy down her spine and in her hips, along with tingly bones in her forearms. Does this sound normal? I had her checked at the walgreens minute clinic. They ruled out strep and said she didn t have a fever...which i believe she does as she is hot and cold and hot to the touch. Any ideas. The minute clinic just said to give her throat lozenges.

Hi,

As you stated, it is likely a viral infection. This would be the most common cause of the acute symptoms mentioned.

In addition to the lozenges, she can use paracetamol/tylenol- to help with the pain and aches. It would also help with the fever.

Most viral illnesses last 7 to 10 days though fatigue can persist for a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
